Five minutes from the city centre, North Street’s The Brunswick has drummed up loyal regulars with its great food offerings and solid craft beer choices.
The pub is happy to announce concrete opening hours for food, a menu overhaul and an awesome burger deal to celebrate!
The recently appointed Head Chef, Iain Baty, will launch a new, burger-focussed menu this Thursday, ready for the Easter weekend celebrations. Baty, a former Graphic Designer turned Chef previously worked as a Chef de Partie for The Fox in Menston and The Punch Bowl Inn in Marton-cum-Grafton before joining The Brunswick and working his way up from CDP to Sous Chef and now Head Chef.
Baty and the team have worked on a host new dish concepts, including:
Beef – two smashed burgers, a mix of two cheeses, house burger sauce, sweet onions and lettuce, on a seeded potato brioche
Chicken – chipotle-glazed, deep-fried chicken, with a spiced celeriac slaw
Veg & Vegan – vegetable patty, spiced celeriac and apple slaw, apple cider puree and crispy onions, on a vegan burger bun
The usual, classic chips, Brunswick chips and some new sharer chips, as well as sides and accompaniments, will be announced on the day and will vary each day.
Matty Wall, Owner of The Brunswick: “It was so good to see such a positive reaction to the burgers we did for the 3rd birthday. It felt like this was 100% the right decision.
We’ve tried to source the best produce from the best suppliers – from a custom meat blend from Swaledale, to the seeded potato brioche, to the fruit and veg for the slaws and accompaniments. It’s been a long time in the works with a lot burger cook-offs, with a fair few variations, but I can’t wait for people to see the final product!”
Every Thursday, The Brunswick will be offering a Burger Menu Deal – add a pint to your burger for only £1.
The Brunswick still offer a brunch and a Sunday Lunch menu, but the burger menu now takes centre stage for the rest of your munching needs!
