The Midnight Bell are gearing up for the summer months with a range of inspired new menus, and a sizzling event calendar you don’t want to miss.
Housed in a charming ancient brick building decked out in oak beams just near the canal, Leeds Brewery’s flagship gastropub has long established itself as one the Yorkshire’s favourite watering holes, serving up authentic locally brewed ales and homely British dishes.
Boasting authentic log fires and one of the best beer gardens in central Leeds, the dog-friendly venue attracts a diverse crowd of business folk, local families and avid LUFC supporters across all four seasons.
The tasty new menus have been designed to make use of the best local produce, consisting of gastropub food classics with a touch of modern flair.
Foodie hot picks from the starters section include the Charred Mackerel with a refreshing side of pickled red onions and grapefruit, and a traditional Chicken Liver Pate served with a fragrant pink peppercorn butter and rosemary focaccia. The Leeds Best battered haddock will give your local chippy a run for its money, with its light and crispy ale soaked coating, while the Rainbow Trout niçoise salad is ideal for anyone that’s focussed on sculpting their beach bod.
The Chargrilled Gammon with grilled fresh pineapple is given a spicy remix with a chilli and orange glaze, whilst those with a sweet tooth will find it hard to resist the boozy Strawberry and Pimm’s Eton Mess. Guests can dine downstairs or out on the sunny courtyard terrace for a more casual vibe, or head upstairs for full table service for a more formal experience.
For 2019, the Midnight Bell are embracing BBQ season with open arms and will be running a grill on the terrace every Friday during summer from lunchtime onwards. With prime Yorkshire Dales steak burgers and other premium treats on the grill, it’s set to be the perfect corporate lunch and post-work pick me up spot. And, because it also happens to be Fizz Friday’s from 4pm, you can pick up a bottle of Prosecco for just £19.95.
Join them on Sunday’s, and you can unwind with one of Yorkshire’s very best roasts. Of course, a Leeds Brewery pub is nothing without a fine range of beers, from seasonal casks to regular kegs. Bestsellers include the premium Hellfire, the easy drinking Monsoon and the dark, malty Gathering Storm stout.
The atmosphere is amped up a notch on Leeds United match days, as The Midnight Bell is conveniently located en route to Elland Road and therefore the perfect place for a pre-match meal or pint.
The venue also features a variety of recently renovated private function spaces, making it a prime space to celebrate. The Snug is great for smaller groups and can hold up to 20 people, while the upstairs restaurant can comfortably seat 50. Wedding parties and other larger groups can take advantage of outdoor marquee hire, where up to 120 guests can enjoy the facilities.
