Leeds Beer Week 2019 kicks off today!

Fresh off the back of their South West-themed fifth annual Beer Festival, the team at Whitelock’s and Turk’s Head are busy preparing for Leeds’ premier beer event, Leeds Beer Week.

They have four events on the line-up, including the official Opening Party, kicking off the Bank Holiday on August 22nd, with Whitelock’s and Turk’s Head being the official hub for the festival too.

Taking over the city from 23rd-31st August 2019, Leeds’ Beer Week is an inclusive, city-wide celebration of Leeds beer, with a plethora of events, collaborations, takeovers, rare and exclusive brews, good music, and great food.

Whitelock’s and Turk’s Head Leeds Beer Week Events:

For the Opening Party, Turk’s Head is creating a haven for beer nerds and setting the tone for the whole festival. Sponsors of Leeds’ Beer Week including Northern Monk, Magic Rock, North Brew Co. and Five Points will be on the taps, Bundobust are providing delicious Bombay-based snacks and  a DJ is set to bring party vibes until late. Plus, for all those eager sippers, the first 100 halves of the LBW x North Brew Beer will be free!

Mikkeller Weekender – Friday 23rd-Sunday 25th August – Turk’s Head
With a full Mikkeller Tap Takeover all weekend (while stocks last!) Turk’s Head is the perfect place to spend the first weekend of beer week. There’ll be plenty of Mikkeller treats to indulge in.

The real icing on the cake is an exclusive release of a new addition to their Spontan range, which is being brought over specially for Leeds Beer Week.
