Merrion Street has a new Italian deli to try, brought to us by three Leeds lads!
Stuzzi which is a popular restaurant in Harrogate has now been brought to Leeds and has taken it’s place on one of our favourite eating and drinking spots in Leeds. The brand has taken over the former Ham & Friends venue at 7 Merrion Street which has also been the Irish – American bar Lucky Number Seven.
Serving authentic Italian produce the all day restaurant, deli, cafe and wine bar opened to the public last Thursday the 21st February and is open from 12pm – 4pm and 5:30pm – 10pm.
Leeds friends Nick Harvey, Tom Pierson and James Walters are the brains behind the operation and their Harrogate Venue which opened in 2014 was based on the popular Salvo’s restaurant in Headingley.
Described as a hip, buzzy Italian joint with a focus on small dishes and obsessive sourcing of ingredients, many of which stand on shelves or sit temptingly behind the deli counter, Stuzzi wears that obsession on its sleeves.
We for one can’t wait to give them a try, we’re expecting good things from them having been listed in Good Food Guide 2019.
Follow their Facebook page for all upcoming deals and details.
