After lengthy delays we finally have a launch date for Cosy Club!
It was back in May that we first reported that Cosy Club would be coming to Leeds! Housing itself inside the £8 million redevelopment of the old Next, it will open on Tuesday the 5th December to make it 21 venues nationwide for the chain.
Cosy Club describes itself as quirky, eccentric and playful informal casual drinking and dining in a family friendly environment. You will be able to pop in at any time and fill up whether you want a lazy breakfast, light lunch or a decent sized burger they’re open all day.
The interior of a Cosy Club is described (as you would expect) to be cosy. Eras and styles clash across the venue for an eclectic mix. The furniture is a mixture of dining tables, battered old club chairs, and sleek vintage 1930’s sofas. On the walls you’ll see oil paintings opposite banners as well as portraits alongside flags. The occasional splash of taxidermy and all sorts of unusual pictures and prints. Lighting is soft and sumptuous to set the correct ambience.
Join them Sunday to Thursday between 4pm and 8pm for an evening drink and help yourself to any two cocktails for £9.95. You’ll find well known favourites on their menu like Aperol Spritz and Mojito’s but there also some unusual ones on there, take the Lemon Drizzle Cake for example which is Advocaat (made from eggs, sugar and brandy) mixed with caramel syrup, lemon and Ketel One vodka. That is then all dressed down in icing sugar, certainly an interesting one that we would like to try, albeit it sounds like you need a sweet tooth!
Their food menu has a great selection too and is broken down into Brunch, Sandwiches, Burgers, Starters, Tapas, Mains, Sides and Puddings so there really is something for everyone. If you are a Vegan or require Gluten free food then fear not, you don’t have scroll through the menu looking to see what you can have as they have separate menu’s where everything on it is suitable for you!
We are very much looking forward to the lunch of this well known brand, it is yet another step forward for Leeds’ food and beverage offering which just keeps getting better and better!
