Yorkshire lovers of gin and Prosecco will need to clear some space in their March social calendars, as a huge festival dedicated to the much-loved tipples is heading to town.
The Gin & Prosecco Festival will make its debut at the stunning Grade II listed Yeadon Town Hall on Saturday 9TH March, showcasing no less than 40 gins from around the world.
The indoor event will run across two sessions between 12:00-20:30, where guests will be able to soak up live music, masterclasses, premium street food and of course, plenty of gin! Fans of fizz can unwind in the Prosecco Garden, which will be serving up flutes of the good stuff within the confines of its white picket fence and faux grass setting.
Best in class
It’s no secret that we Brits love our gin, with no less than £1.5 billion spent on 55 million bottles in the 12 months leading up to the end of March 2018. The festival will be showcasing best in class brands, with 20 flavoured UK gins and 20 international brands stocked at the bar. There will also be a house bar serving up a selection of lagers, ales and wines.
Seven sample stations headed up by Monkey 47, Plymouth Sloe, Warner Edwards, Pembrokeshire Gin, Molvino Wines, Hayman Gin, Whitley Neill and JJ Whitely will be handing out freebies and offering guests the chance to purchase their best-selling gins.
The perfect G&T
Entertainment will come in the shape of live music from award-winning local talent, including singer and guitarist, Thomas Lillywhite. Guests can also partake in a range of gin-centric masterclasses, where expert mixologists will be on hand to demonstrate how to create the perfect G&T.
Standard tickets are just £12, and include:
