Arts Restaurant announces New Menu

Under new ownership this year, this stalwart of Call Lane is mid-evolution.

With Simon Turner taking over as Head Chef from a four-year tenure at The Reliance, Arts is maintaining its existing commitment to a British bistro-style menu, but bringing provenance and quality to the table as priorities.

Simon Turner, Head Chef:  “I don’t so much want to change Arts, in fact I’d just like to evolve Arts, with the ethics of trying to use seasonal, sustainable and local produce to recreate global cuisine with an emphasis on flavour and quality.”

The new menu is now available and it includes both Set Menu and A La Carte options.

Casual dining take priority at lunchtime, including Sandwiches, Salads and Plates (like the Mediterranean Plate, featuring Arts’ Merguez sausage or halloumi, bulgur wheat, labneh, harissa, dukkah and flatbread), and the Set Lunch comes in with two courses for a very reasonable £15, 3 courses for £19.

Dinner offers A la Carte and Set Menu options, set at two courses for £17 and three for £21. The A la Carte menu includes starters like Queen Scallops, Avocado, Quinoa and Tiger’s Milk, or Crispy Pig’s Cheek Croquette, Beetroot & Smoked Apple. Mains include Gloucester Old Spot Pork Ribeye, Hispi Cabbage, Summer Savoury & Peach, and Confit Duck, Bermondsey Sobrasada, Peas & Baby Gem.

There are plenty of exciting vegetarian and vegan options throughout the menu, too – the priority here is fabulous flavour, with respect for local sourcing and quality, whatever the ingredient.
